INTRODUCTION p-1 or: How outliermeditation.org helps you access information regarding consciousness.

Hello, my name is Nathan Gaddes and welcome to my blog. I am the founder and curator of outliermeditation.org, a Meta-Book website regarding consciousness.

This blog will act as the ‘book’ component of the website.

It is my intent to help educate and hopefully inspire the reader to learn how to meditate and/or explore consciousness. That is, help you learn to quiet the mind and access the inner Multi-Verse or learn breathing tech for health benefits. Your choice. The information presented is perfect for the psychonaut, spiritual ‘seeker’, scientist, student/teacher, health practitioner, comic book lover or anyone curious about old and new models of consciousness.

I draw from a range of cross-cultural techniques, exploration reports, hard/soft sciences and eastern/western spiritual ‘seeking’ disciplines. This implies an all-inclusive perspective. Edging ever closer to totality, the ultimate vantage point.

Future Blogs will explore categories such as meditation techniques, interaction within consciousness-space, interpretation, applications and relative subcategories. All based on personal experience. Explanations will be delivered from four general perspectives (discussed in part 3); Shamanism, Buddhist Tantra, Science and Western Occultism. Once again, from the context of my personal experiences unless otherwise stated.

I will also be linking to my website or ‘Meta-Book‘(peer-reviewed science, videos, lectures and other websites from around the world) to give the reader/explorer a more interactive and comprehensive experience.

Let me elaborate….

The term Meta is used in the context of ‘beyond’ or ‘something more than’. A book…. plus.

The Meta-Book also serves as an information hub featuring a News Desk – the latest news/science from around the globe regarding consciousness and related phenomena. It also has a Library with four interactive subsections or “Mains”, that will be outlined in part 2 of this introduction.

The News Desk and Library are updated weekly and I will be blogging every chance I get.

The next series of blogs…. will be in regards to meditation, utilizing Carl Jung’s 4 basic psychological functions; Sensation, Feeling, Intellect, Intuition, and the ‘Hero’s Journey’ theory of Joseph Campbell/Individuation Model to create a basic meditation guide for the complete novice. This will be in relation to the exploration of consciousness and Volume 1 of this Meta-book. It will also link to the Library.

To briefly paraphrase, I will be blogging on the subject of consciousness exploration from four interlinking categories; Technique, Exploration, Interpretation and Application, relative to my personal experience and experiments. Using the four Generals; Shamanism, Buddhist Tantra, Science and Western Occult models to explain phenomena. For now, there is more than enough mind-blowing information in the Meta-Book to keep you interested and inspired. Until then please feel free to explore, it will cost you nothing (maybe a bit of your sanity which is only a good thing)…. and thank you for your time.

Please Enjoy…………………………………………………………………………………..Don’t Panic

  1. Hi there would you mind letting me know which hosting company you’re working with? I’ve loaded your blog in 3 different web browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot quicker then most. Can you suggest a good hosting provider at a fair price? Cheers, I appreciate it!

  2. I believe that avoiding prepared foods may be the first step to be able to lose weight. They can taste good, but prepared foods contain very little vitamins and minerals, making you try to eat more in order to have enough power to get through the day. If you’re constantly eating these foods, moving over to whole grains and other complex carbohydrates will make you to have more vigor while eating less. Great blog post.
